The Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund (HFRRF), a $5.5 billion pension fund, announced that it had added $25 million worth of bitcoin and ether to its portfolio. The is the first time a U.S. public pension fund invested in digital assets.

Bitcoin was trading around 5% lower today, dropping from its all-time high of almost $67,000 achieved on Wednesday.
